Get Rid of the Ants!!
For some reason, ants have decided to come into my home univited! I HATE ants!! I spent most of my lunch time trying to kill them. Arianna kept saying, "Here's another one mom!" I am happy the ants aren't on my counter tops or table. They have decided to gather around my railing/stairs (strange). Any suggestions of how to get rid of them completely? PLEASE!!

i'm so very very sorry. they seem to be a winter plague around here. i am glad i live on the second floor and i hope you figure it out! i wish I had advice!

I am so sorry that I couldn't get together with you during Christmas, we just had one thing after another, I hardly even had a minute to breathe...I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I had ants in my house in Saratoga, we bought these little bait things that the ants were drawn to, they would eat the bait and die. We just put the bait out where they were, and left it there until we didn't see anymore...it seemed to work. I think I bought them at Home Depot. Hope you can get them out of your house. Good Luck

The only thing that worked for us last winter was calling the exterminator. They put out super powerful bait that wiped them out. In the meantime, it helps if you use windex or something that smells good to kill them. At least the house will smell fresh! Good luck!!
OH my gosh! I have ants too...We lived here for 5 months ant free and then on the sixth month, boom! Here they are?! So strange. If you do find anything out about how to get rid of them, let me know!
I had a car once that got infested with ants....I donated the car to charity...didn't even bother trying to sell it!!
Give them Corn meal... They cant digest it so they die then you have dead ants I dont know if that is better for you or not. HOpe it helps.
I was plagued by ants all summer, and finally I bought TERRO liquid ant baits from Home Depot, and it was fabulous. Totally cleared it up, and we had them EVERYWHERE!!
Jolene gets ants a lot too. It must be a California ant thing. She used this powder ant killer. With the baby, I doubt that is an option. Oh, I know...you could spray vinegar in the area that they are hanging out in. Good luck.
We had major ant problems in California. THey came out my dishwasher. ANyways, the only way they left was I had a guy put bate in the house. Spraying didn't do anything.

We had ants last week. Maybe we scared them away and they came to your house. My ants were around the railing/stairs too, that is how I can tell they are the same ants. haha. I just vacuumed them all up until I could see where they were coming from, then I sprayed just at the opening (and kept the kids away from that corner), and then just outside I put one of the baits. Next time I checked I vacuumed up a bunch of dead ants, and that was the end of our ants. knock on wood.
